Navigate the Educational Crisis

There is an epic existential crisis confronting young Muslims consisting of ideological manipulation, social pressures, and economic processes undermining self-determination.

  1. Crisis of relevance: Outdated curricula…
  2. Ideological intrusion: manipulative ideas causing tension with Islamic worldview.
  3. Intellectual and spiritual disconnect: emphasis of rules and rituals over depth of understanding and purpose.

Empower a Curriculum Renewal

  • Tarbiyyah theory
  • Transformational leadership
  • Islamic epistemology
  • Maqasid al-Shari’ah orientation

Drive an Essential Paradigm Shift

  • From rote memorization to deep understanding
  • From ritualism to intellectual & spiritual purpose
  • From ideological radicalization to structured critical thought
  • From complacency to moral leadership

Ihya & Tajdid: Revival & Renewal

“Indeed, Allah will raise for this ummah at the head of every century someone who will renew (yujaddidu) for it its religion.”
(Sunan Abi Dawud, 4291)

Strategize Curriculum Development

1. Gap analysis: What are we teaching? What are we missing? Understanding the challenge.

2. Philosophy & vision alignment: What is the point of Islamic education? What are our priorities?

3. Designing a framework: teaching with a purpose & scaffolding themes

4. Custom workshops: For teachers, admin, board members for strategic planning, professional development, building a Quranic world view.

Design Curricula of Depth

1. Ihya al-Fitra: Protection, cultivation, and revival of the natural disposition – help student remain centered upon human nature.

2. Holistic human (nafsi) development: a curriculum accounting for complete human development — faculties of sense, mind (aql), heart (qalb), soul (ruh), and actions (amal).

3. Quranic inspired epistemology: employ methodology of tazkiyyah (inner purification), tadabbur (deep contemplation), tafakkur (thinking and reflecting), tadhakkur (reminders and renewals), tawakkul (deep trust in Allah and His revelation)

4. Jurisprudential reasoning: provide clarity in scholarly reasoning to develop an interdependent and curious relationship with the Islamic scholarship leading to both agency and capacity.
